Our services begin the moment we receive your first email. Taking note of your wish-list, preferences and tastes, and answering all your questions along the way, we create an itinerary including everything and anything that we think will make your Spain and/or Portugal vacation the trip of a lifetime. We offer unique insights and provide relevant advice, from where to go and which hotels to stay at, to which private tours and special experiences to try, and in which locations. Once you’ve booked your trip, we finalize all the bookings and get everything ready for your arrival. And finally, once you’re on the ground, whether in Spain or Portugal, we make sure everything goes smoothly every day and until the very end of your trip.

We’ve been doing this for over 23 years and bring a wealth of experience to every trip we create.

Our passionate team of Travel Designers travel regularly and extensively throughout the Iberian Peninsula and the Islands, gaining invaluable knowledge of the places to visit, the people to see, the things to experience and the places to stay, forging and strengthening partnerships along the way. And their expertise and enthusiasm will inspire your trip from start to finish!

We pride ourselves on a fabulous and diverse range of private tours and special experiences, providing insider access (often not available via other agencies or online) to a unique and fascinating collection of people and places. We work with the very best guides in both Spain and Portugal, and our network of special collaborators is expansive and often exclusive. We enjoy very close partnerships with top hotels, from the city-based big brand hotel to the family-run hidden gem in remote areas of the country.

We have an excellent reputation with suppliers and travel advisors in the US and further afield, and we use our influence wherever possible to make travel dreams come true!

We work daily with our industry friends at Spain and Portugal’s top properties and regularly negotiate special amenities for our travelers to enjoy throughout their stay. Having developed so many special relationships over 23+ years, we are always safe in the knowledge that our travelers are going to receive a warm welcome and much more when they arrive at their chosen accommodation.  

Our team travels all across the Peninsula and to the Islands on a regular basis, to visit hotels in person in order to provide a service based on what we know, and not on what you read online. Save yourself countless hours of research and take advantage of our expertise to plan a wonderful trip!

The cost of our services is built into the overall cost of the trip and not billed for separately. These services include but are not exclusive to: our time and expertise (the most creative team in Iberia curating itineraries); access to the best guides and other unique collaborators; a concierge service for restaurant bookings and other requests; a 24/7 emergency number; special amenities in many properties; and a sustainable, paperless approach, thanks to a live travel app which allows our travelers to keep up to date with their itinerary and have all the key travel information they need, just a click away.

Madrid & Beyond does not arrange private insurance, but we strongly recommend you purchase adequate one for your trip to cover all eventualities.  

The safety of our clients is our utmost priority and Madrid & Beyond fulfills every legal and financial obligation required under Spanish law for retail travel companies.

Every customized or tailor-made trip we organize is different. There are no two trips that are the same. We simply do not like, nor do we believe in, ‘package vacations’.

We provide a global price for your personalized curated trip which includes all accommodation, breakfasts, private touring and special experiences, taxes, and our services. That said, we aim to provide as much transparency as possible and never request a deposit payment until the traveler is happy to proceed with our trip proposal.
