Wine Tours in Spain

As with food, Wine is an integral part of the trips we arrange. From a simple wine tasting to private entrees to the top wine makers in Spain, we take our wine seriously but enjoy every drop!

As the reputation of Spanish food has risen, so too has the quality of the wine being produced all around the country. La Rioja is still perhaps Spain’s most famous wine region – and we arrange some amazing winery tours there – but Priorat, Ribera del Duero, Bierzo and even Ribera da Sacra in Galicia are now producing some sensational wines. In the south, Ronda has also established itself a specialist wine area with over twenty wineries setting up there in the last few years. Here, as we with all leading wine areas, we arrange inside access to the most interesting people and wine makers.

On our tapas tour and epicurean tours through Sevilla, Madrid or Barcelona or San Sebastian, you’ll have the opportunity to taste a variety of wines, learning the Spanish approach to drinking. For more specialist tours, we strongly recommend an excursion to Jerez de la Frontera whilst in the south, and if you’re in the Basque Country, you should find time to experience La Rioja and it’s fascinating wineries; some highly contemporary and others so, so traditional.

For a wonderful wine experience, we also recommend our “Adolfo Gourmet Experience”. After welcoming you into his family’s 11th century bodega (wine cellar) which features over 50,000 bottles, your host (who also hosted Gwyneth Paltrow’s for her TV show “Spain, on the Road Again”) will take you enjoy lunch at the finest restaurant in Toledo. Later, enjoy a private visit to the family winery, the only urban vineyard in Spain and one of four which exist in the whole world.

Wherever and however you choose to drink your wine, we urge you to partake… ¡Salud!
