"The first guide we had, Nuno, was very knowledgeable and really a lovely person. He taught us about the valley and the history of port making. We had lunch at a vineyard with spectacular views and incredible food and wine pairings. We really loved this experience and Nuno was lovely company. The following day was our river cruise. We very much enjoyed our guide, Tiago, and our captain, Orlando. The river cruise was truly a highlight of our trip. The boat was beautiful and so comfortable. Orlando served us snacks, wines, and cocktails. We very much enjoyed the company of Orlando and Tiago but also appreciated that they gave us our privacy to enjoy time alone on the boat. This day felt like a dream come true!”

"Everything was amazing including the incredible people who work there. It is absolutely incredible views and interest at every turn. Wine tasting, Portugese kitchen tales, garden dinner, food, wine, service top notch, spa – beyond most spa experiences - even the mani pedi, alchemy bar (fun and interesting – loved the guy)… Would not change anything in the Douro Valley. The first winery excelled – wine, experience, and beauty. The beautiful table setting was a knockout with the wine. Could have stayed one more night --- will return.”
